Now that we're into September, it must be time to start thinking about Oracle OpenWorld!! This year's event kicks off in San Francisco on September 22nd and we will be there for the big kick off. But why will we be going back this year - what is it that makes OpenWorld a "must" for us to attend?

Now that we're into September, it must be time to start thinking about Oracle OpenWorld!! This year's event kicks off in San Francisco on September 22nd and we will be there for the big kick off. But why will we be going back this year - what is it that makes OpenWorld a "must" for us to attend?

According to Oracle's surveys, 99.5% of attendees say that OpenWorld delivers on their objectives - we have no idea if this is true but it certainly delivered fully on our objectives last year. For those who haven't been, it was the sheer scale of the event that strikes you on arrival. There are some 50,000 attendees and 2,500 sessions to choose from across the 5 day event and most of San Francisco turns Oracle red - from the conferencing facilities and hotels, to the restaurants and bars! But the key reasons we'll be attending are the following:

  • The chance to learn the latest strategic direction for the Industry and Oracle itself.
  • Discover product developments for the Oracle Cloud, CRM and BI technology solutions.
  • Hear the news and views of experts from all around the world, both internal and external to Oracle.
  • Gaining the insights and making the relationships that enable us to keep our clients informed on Oracle strategy and product development and positioning for the next 12 months.
