We're excited to see that the Siebel Innovation Pack 2012 (also known as Siebel 8.1.1.9), containing the new Siebel Open UI component, has been released to customers. Demand for the Pack has been high - almost all customers we have spoken to see it as an important step in Siebel's evolution, and the clamour at the OpenWorld Open UI sessions in October shows that our customers aren't alone.

We anticipate a large number of UI-focussed Siebel projects through 2013 - the business case for implementing Open UI is strong. To take advantage of Open UI's features does however require a more extended skillset than the one typically required to develop and maintain Siebel.
